Epson to highlight latest digital printing technologies at SGI Middle East 2015
Epson Middle East announced its seventh year of participation at Sign & Graphics Imaging Middle East (SGI) with a line-up of its latest SureColor printers using the most advanced imaging technology, including Epson’s MicroPiezo print head to redefine photographic print quality for virtually any signage or graphics applications.
SGI, the largest and longest-running event for the region’s signage, outdoor media, screen and digital printing industries will take place from January 11 to 13, 2015 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. Visitors to Epson’s stand 1-E16 can experience the company’s SC-F6000 dye sublimation printer, which is a productive and reliable choice for small format soft signage, banners, customised promotional items and gadgets printing. And the company’s direct-to-garment t-shirt printer, SC-F2000, a benchmark in high-performance garment imaging.
According to Shihab Zubair, Business Development Manager, Epson Middle East, “The printing industry in the Middle East attracts a major share of the advertising spend in the region and now with events like World Expo 2020 and the growth of the MICE industry, the demand for digital printing is set to grow. Our SureColor printers, which will be on display at SGI, are designed to offer vivid, precise and high-quality images.
And our SC-F2000 caters to the growing trend in visual communications for digital textile printing especially for printing on t-shirts, banners and retail graphics. SGI, being the most anticipated event in the region for digital printing industry, is a perfect event for us to create awareness of our latest technologies.” Zubair added: “The main challenge in the market today is to create awareness of the advancements in digital printing technology and to advocate the importance of using original consumables for quality and longevity. Participating in SGI allows us to do that.”
Epson will also highlight its MicroPiezo technology which is still one of the most important technologies in the industry and it is widely used in the home, business, commerce and industry. It has become synonymous with high quality output, reliability and total cost performance. This is best suited to customers who demand crisp image quality, high ink durability, and water fastness. Micro Piezo print heads are extremely durable. Use of this technology also allows Epson printers to print stunning images with rich gradations and with almost no granulation.
Among the SureColor printers on display will be the SC-F6000, which is the first printer in its category to have each component designed and manufactured by Epson to ensure quality, performance and reliability for maximum productivity and lower total cost of ownership. A durable and robust roll-fed Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Key (CMYK) model, it supports a range of applications. The 44-inch printer can be used for quality soft signage, sportswear, apparel, accessories, customized promotional items, and decorated gadgets. SC-F2000, on the other hand, is a high performing printer with a low maintenance and running cost which is perfect for small and medium print businesses. The printer comes with Epson’s Garment Creator Software that can produce customized designs on t-shirts, caps and bags up to 25mm thick. Featuring Epson’s durable Thin Film Piezo (TFP) printhead, SC-F2000 can quickly print on white and dark-coloured t-shirt without sacrificing print quality.
Designed for print companies that need maximum quality and application flexibility, the 8- and 10-colour SC-S70610, on display, is Epson’s first 64-inch (162.6cm) roll-fed printer to support orange, light black, white and metallic inks simultaneously.
