Publicis failed merger with Omnicom to cost up to €50m

Maurice Levy, the CEO of Publicis has said the failure of an advertising industry merger with US group Omnicom would cost his company €40m-50m, Reuters has reported. “There will in effect by a financial cost and it’s between €40m and €50m,” Levy, speaking to BFM Business TV, said of the decision announced in May to abandon a $35bn alliance between Publicis and Omnicom, respectively, the world’s third- and second-largest advertising groups.
