SanDisk teams up with IGN
SanDisk, the global leader in flash memory, has teamed up with IGN to power the region’s ultimate film, video games, comics and technology convention, the IGN Convention Dubai, running this weekend from November 21 to 22 at the Mina Seyahi Hall, Dubai International Marine Club.
The IGN Convention Dubai will draw international celebrities, and artists and fans from across the region into the city. The star attraction at the event will be Northern Irish actor Kristian Nairn, best known for playing Hodor in popular television series Game of Thrones. Voice actor Troy Baker, who has lent his talent to multiple characters in bestselling games BioShock Infinite, Final Fantasy XIII, Batman: Arkham City and Resident Evil Six, will also attend, and so will American cosplayer (costume player) Riddle.
The two-day event will also screen fan-favourite sci-fi and super hero films, conduct workshops on developing manga, animations, video games and films, promote local artists, and feature a cosplay (costume play) competition, gaming announcements, discussion panels on movies and games, trivia quizzes, comic book stalls and a video game tournament.
