Yahoo posts higher Q4 profit

Yahoo Inc. has said its online ad prices fell 6% year-over-year in the fourth quarter, while the price per ad, excluding Korea, declined 7%, Reuters has reported. The company’s overall revenue dropped 6% in the last three months of the year to $1.266bn, marking four consecutive quarters of eroding revenue. Fourth-quarter net income rose to $348.2m from the $272.3m earned in the year-ago period. In the first quarter of this year, net revenue, which excludes fees paid to third-party websites, would range between $1.06bn and $1.1bn, Yahoo said.
