In preparation of Qatar’s National Sports Day, Al Khalij Commercial Bank (Al Khaliji) Q.S.C. organized a run on February 8th at the Aspire Park, in efforts to raise awareness about the importance and value of physical activity to the overall health and well being of society.

Al Khaliji’s staff run falls under the bank’s “Generation Fit” initiative, aimed at promoting sports and healthy lifestyles in Qatar through various sporting events and activities.

For the second consecutive year, Al Khaliji bank’s active participation in Qatar’s National Sports Day featured a series of activities, physical fitness tips and advices provided by a professional trainer to ensure that it was safe, effective and enjoyable for everyone.

“One of Qatar’s National Vision 2030 primary goals is to encourage and maintain a healthy nation. At Al Khaliji, we strongly support this initiative and have therefore organized a number of activities such as our ‘Generation-fit’ campaign to foster awareness for a healthy, fit life-style,” said Mr. Robin McCall, Al Khaliji’s Group Chief Executive Officer.

The sport initiative comes as part of Al Khaliji’s larger corporate social responsibility program, which encompasses all facets of community development in Qatar, tackling environmental sustainability, social and cultural development, and humanitarian efforts.
