Egypt’s NBE reports 8% increase in full 2013 earnings

National Bank of Egypt, the country’s largest bank, has said its net income in the fiscal year 2012/13 rose 8% to EGP3.4bn (some $480m), compared with the previous year, Ahram has reported. Deposits climbed 12.2% to EGP313bn ($45bn) last year, compared with 2012. National Bank of Egypt serves over six million customers and manages some EGP300bn ($43.4b) in assets.
