EMEA Finance Magazine has named Citi ‘Best Foreign Investment Bank’ for the fourth year in a row and ‘Best Foreign Bank’ for the second consecutive year in Bahrain as part of the magazine’s Middle East Banking Awards 2014. The awards were recently announced at a charity awards dinner held at JW Marriott Hotel Dubai.

EMEA Finance is a bimonthly publication that reports on the major financial events and happenings initiated and influenced by the international financial industry active in Europe, Middle East, and Africa (the EMEA region).

“The EMEA Finance awards are a testament to our dedicated efforts towards offering our clients innovative and customized solutions through our leading global network and unrivalled product capabilities,” said Mazin Manna, CEO of Citi Bahrain. “It gives us pleasure to receive these two awards year on year and add them to our list of achievements for Citi Bahrain,” he added.

According to EMEA Finance’s criteria, ‘Awards recognize the leading banks across the Middle East that stand out among their peers, demonstrate leadership in their home markets, top the performance and deal-making tables both in individual countries and across the Middle East. The awards consider various performance and structural factors such as market share, growth in important product classes, and corporate strategy.’

Citi has been in the Arab World for nearly fifty years and views the region as critical to its global franchise. It currently offers full scale corporate and investment banking services across ten Arab countries including Bahrain, UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco, and Algeria.
