Exotix partners makes senior investment banking hire

Exotix, the expert in illiquid, emerging and frontier markets, has appointed experienced banker Youssef Kabbaj as a managing director. He joins Exotix’s Capital Markets team reporting to Phil Southwell, CEO of Exotix.

Youssef has experience in special situations, capital raising, alternative financing, deal structuring and distribution in emerging and frontier markets and was formerly head of Middle East and Africa coverage for alternative asset manager GLG Partners. Prior to that, Youssef was co-head of the Strategic Coverage Group at Goldman Sachs.

Based in Dubai and London, Youssef will further strengthen Exotix’s ability to source opportunities for institutional clients in emerging and frontier markets across the globe.

His appointment continues Exotix’s expansion drive, which has included a raft of senior and experienced hires in recent months enhancing the firm’s offering and ability to service clients.
