Flat6Labs Cairo held its Seventh Demo Day event with 10 new startup companies graduating from the accelerator program’s 4-months-long cycle. The Demo Day, which was sponsored by MC Egypt, provided the startups hosted by Flat6Labs Cairo with the opportunity to pitch their ideas to a number of potential investors and business leaders.

The Spring 2014 cycle welcomed an exceptionally diverse group of entrepreneurs with businesses offering products and services in fields such as creative product design, renewable energy, agriculture and food solutions and mobile & web-based applications. The latest acceleration cycle played host to exciting guests and introduced the participating startups to entrepreneurs and leaders in a wide array of fields. The startup companies were exposed to business executives, technology innovators, corporate CEOs, social entrepreneurs, and journalists among others.

The Demo Day event was attended by the Flat6Labs mentors and staff, governmental representatives, reputed IT figures from the region, press and investors who were keen on witnessing the progress of the cycle’s startups. During this latest cycle of its accelerator program, Flat6Labs aimed to add value to the budding entrepreneurial ecosystem across the MENA region by announcing the expansion of their operations with the launch of Flat6Labs Abu Dhabi in partnership with TwoFour54. This announcement followed the launch of their Flat6Labs Jeddah operations in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia last year in partnership with Qotuf Al Riyadah.
