Mashreq launches latest version of the ‘Mashreq Flavors’ application

Mashreq, a leading financial institution in the UAE, announced the launch of its newly revamped ‘Mashreq Flavors’ application which presents users with an entirely new design and user experience, while maintaining its popular, user friendly approach. The application features over 900 casual and fine dining outlets for consumers to browse and choose from, in addition to a continually updated range of great offers and promotions.

The original application was a result of the brilliant work of the bank’s in-house Electronic Business and Innovations team. The team then took the initiative in conducting a comprehensive study to analyze and assess how the original version was being used and as a result, the all new and improved ‘Mashreq Flavors’ was created. It has already proven to be a great success, seeing a 45% growth in its adoption rate since its launch earlier this year

Commenting on this program, Aref Al Ramli, Head of Electronic Business & Innovation, Mashreq said, “The ‘Mashreq Flavors’ application was created as a means to reward the bank’s customers by presenting them with a way of accessing a wide range of exciting offers and promotions, as well as being able to choose dining options from over 900 recommended local restaurants and eateries. The focus of the application has not just been about providing another rewards scheme of discounts but to provide a convenient and simple way in which customers can better access and enjoy these great offers and ideas.”

The features that differentiate this application from others include a simple to use interface that highlights the information most important to the user, easy accessibility, user friendly onscreen instructions for easy navigation across the application, a ‘nearby offers’ feature which lists all the offers available in a three to four kilometer radius from the user’s location, and other features such as the option to search by one distinctive word or by cuisine.

The Mashreq team also ensured that users are kept informed of the savings made with each specific offer, by designing a fantastic tool in the form of a savings calculator which instantly informs the user of the value saved when a specific outlet is chosen.
