MasterCard appoints Area Head for Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Yemen

MasterCard announced the appointment of Girish Nanda as Area Head for Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Yemen.

Based in Riyadh, Nanda will focus on developing new relationships and enhancing MasterCard’s existing engagement with stakeholders across these key geographies. Nanda’s appointment follows that of Raghav Prasad as the General Manager for operations in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait and Oman. These strategic appointments demonstrate MasterCard’s commitment to investing in expert resources across the Middle East to drive financial inclusion and support its vision of a world beyond cash.

Nanda has over 20 years of global experience in leadership roles within the payments and consumer finance sectors, and has been with MasterCard since 2007. In his last role as MasterCard Regional Head of Global Strategic Accounts for the MENA region, he was responsible for strategy and business development and managing relationships with global financial institutions. Prior to his time at MasterCard, Nanda held various leadership roles with BNP Paribas and GE Money.
