MasterCard reports 40% jump in prepaid card business

MasterCard has said its prepaid card business across Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa grew by 40% in 2013 after significant partnerships were launched with a number of organisations, Gulf News has reported. The momentum for prepaid growth is expected to continue as financial inclusion in emerging markets and cross border e-commerce transactions continue to increase, the firm said.
