Prince Saud Bin Naif launches Rawabi Holding’s fourth Talent Exhibit

Under the auspices of His Royal Highness Prince Saud Bin Naif Bin Abdul Aziz, the Governor of the Eastern Province, Rawabi Holding has launched its fourth Rawabi Talent Exhibit (RTE) at Scitech on Sunday April 20, 2014. The event was opened in the presence of Rawabi Holding Chairman, Sheikh AbdulAziz AlTurki, as well as a handful of business men and representatives from educational institutions as well as students from high schools across the Eastern Province, over 20 volunteers from ‘Global Shapers’ and 50 from the employees of Rawabi Holding.

The exhibit aims to be a pioneer in the field of vocational guidance in Saudi Arabia, through its programs that aim to help youth and students better understand themselves and get to know their abilities by developing their potential with the Color Q Personality System TM. In addition there will be interactive booths hosting professionals from different fields to guide the visiting students and inform them of their occupation and help them envision their future and what the Saudi market has to offer.

Sheikh Abdul Aziz Turki, Chairman of Rawabi Holding Group, expressed his gratitude and appreciation to His Royal Highness Prince Saud Bin Naif on honoring and sponsoring the exhibit and said, “We are happy he has launched our exhibit in its fourth year and the success of the Rawabi Talent Exhibit has confirmed our commitment. The exhibit has received considerable attention and was able to break down geographical boundaries with the school visits and the new digital and interactive applications. In the long run, we aim to expand RTE to other large cities with the support and under the umbrella of the Ministry of Education and the Human Resources Development Fund.”

“Our corporate social responsibility program is integrated and linked to international and domestic development plans. We are pleased with the turnout witnessed at the exhibit and we aspire that it remains the platform of reference to help young people set the direction of their lives and we are hoping to contribute to the achievement of everyone’s wishes and career aspirations,” the Sheikh continued.

The exhibit has succeeded in attracting more than 150 volunteering professionals from 40 fields with no less than 3 years’ experience in corporationssuch as Saudi Aramco, Nesma Holding Co., Sipchem, Al-Falak, Exel-Saudi Arabia, Al-Turki Group and Bander Bin Shamal Law Office amongst others to present the students with diverse opportunities aligned with their skills and ambitions.

The Exhibit also offers a digital application, ‘Career Compass’ which includes a list of universities and institutes in the Kingdom and the programs they offer and their career paths. At the exhibit, universities will be present with booths where the students can ask questions to the University of Dammam, the Jubail University College, Alghad Colleges, College of Technology of Dammam, The Arab Open University and Colleges of Excellence.

Under the umbrella of General Directorate of Education in the Eastern Province, Rawabi Holding organizes informative tours for high school students in addition to several workshops presented by Prince Sultan Fund for Women Development and Taqat Center next to its own digital tools such as the YouTube channel ‘Akoon’ on SeenTv; which will showcase success Saudi stories to the targeted 16 to 24 years old daily for two weeks.

For his part, the Director of General Education in the Eastern Province, Dr. Abdul Rahman Al Moudairis, said, “The Rawabi Talent Exhibit has become an active partner of the Department of Education since its inception, and has contributed to raising awareness among students through its thoughtful and pioneering programs. We can confidently say that after this unique experience the exhibit has surpassed the evaluation stage and has achieved its goals and objectives. We are keen to raise the number of graduates through these programs and community events in partnership with the private sector.”

The exhibit will host students from all schools in the Eastern province and on the sidelines will host successful leaders of the community to discuss their success stories. Through the daily workshops provided by Rowad Almaarefa for Educational Consultancy, the students will learn how to prepare for a professional career. They will also receive the results of their personal color test, which reviews different areas of professions, which are appropriate for each color. Besides these workshops, there will be a number of agencies involved in teaching the students self-marketing and entrepreneurial skills.

The event will also include a series of lectures highlighting local success stories, with the participation of Engineer Amr AlMadani, discussing the world of robotics, as well as Sheikh Abdulrezak AlTurki, explaining his determination and secret to success while ‘Telfaz’ team bridges culture and creativity. The Rawabi Talent Exhibit (RTE) works for the benefit of students and youth and supports them in rightly determining a career future corresponding to their talent by allowing them to attend workshops and try out a variety of guidance tools. RTE is open daily from 4 to 9:30 PM with workshops between Saturdays to Wednesdays from 6:30 to 9:30 PM.
