The Omani central bank has said stress tests on the country’s banking system showed lenders in the country have enough capital to withstand the impact of severe shocks to the sultanate’s economy, Reuters has reported. “Thanks to the comfortable capital levels in the banking sector in Oman, even after the application of severe shocks, the system as a whole appeared quite resilient,” the central bank said in its financial stability report.
