ADEC participates in Tawdheef 2014

The Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC) will be participating in the “Tawdheef Exhibition 2014” for the second year in a row from February 3rd to 5th 2014.

ADEC aims to attract qualified, talented and multi-skilled UAE nationals to work as school staff in order to help achieve ADEC’s strategy plan to attract highly qualified national workforce who can positively contribute to the socio-economic development of their country.

H.E. Mr. Mohammad Salem Al-Dhaheri, ADEC’s Executive Director of School Operations, said that the exhibition provides excellent professional and career opportunities for motivated Emiratis who wish to work in the development of different areas of education across the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

ADEC, through its Emiratization Program, offers a wide range of training opportunities and career Development programs for Emirati’ to help achieve their career aspirations and goals. “Our strategic vision focuses on becoming a role-model organization for a successful Emiratization process and seeking sustainable national workforce”, he added.

Mr. Al-Dhaheri pointed out that ADEC has recently approved the new pay scale as well as the organizational and salary structure for public schools across the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. He added that the new structure will help create a range of new jobs for national staff such as servicing students with special needs, providing career and professional guidance for Cycle 3 students, as well as revising job descriptions and roles assigned to supervisors, Heads of Faculties and teachers.

ADEC is seeking to attract local teachers to work in 27 education-related posts in the following disciplines: KG education, Majal1(Islamic Studies & Arabic), Majal2 (Science & Math) Islamic Studies, Arabic, English Language, Social Studies, History, Civics, Geography, Economics, Psychology, Math, Science, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geology, IT, PE, Art Education, Music Education, Social Worker, Lab Technician, LRC, Psychologist and Special Education.

Staff are being selected based on certain standards and criteria to include holding a university degree in relevant specialization with a minimum grade of “Good”, age of applicant should not exceed 45 years, priority is given to those who have an IELTS certificate (Academic), holders of

The total number of all ADEC staff (ADEC HQ and schools) is currently 14705 employees, 6400 of whom are locals comprising 45.3%. ADEC seeks to raise the percentage to 50% over the next three years. The number of national employees in ADEC HQ is currently 400 comprising 65% of the total number of ADEC HQ staff.
