Alghanim Industries has been a proud partner of INJAZ-Kuwait since it first launched in Kuwait in 2006, actively supporting its efforts to provide Kuwait’s young people with the skills they need to build future successful careers. As part of this support, during the 2013-2014 school year two hundred Alghanim Industries employee volunteers provided professional guidance and mentoring to 1,524 students on subjects such as entrepreneurship, financial literacy and workplace readiness.

Volunteers from many of Alghanim Industries’ business units supported a wide range of INJAZ-Kuwait’s school-based programs, including one-day Entrepreneurial Master Classes (EMC) and Innovation Camps, as well as longer running initiatives like ‘The Company Program’, ‘Steer Your Career’, ‘Personal Economics’ and ‘Personal Finance’.

In addition, employee volunteers hosted a number of Job Shadow Days at Kirby Building Systems, KIMMCO, Alghanim Automotive, X-cite by Alghanim Electronics and Impact & Echo, as well as at the company’s corporate offices in Shuwaikh, to educate students about business operations, critical workplace skills and possible future career opportunities. Alghanim Industries was also a proud sponsor of INJAZ’s Company Program Competition in 2014.

Omar K. Alghanim, Chief Executive Officer of Alghanim Industries said: “Equipping students with practical business-related skills is a priority which Alghanim Industries shares with INJAZ. We see our involvement in these programs as a great opportunity to invest in Kuwait’s future prosperity by helping youth become better prepared for their future business careers, and ensuring that they are able to make the most of the opportunities afforded to them.

“I am very proud of the staff who volunteered their time and expertise to give guidance to these young people, and of the INJAZ students themselves, who have so much potential to flourish in the business and economic world, as well as give back to their community.”

Abdullateef Al Sharekh, Manager – Business Development and M&A at Alghanim Industries, and an INJAZ volunteer, said: “Volunteering with INJAZ has been more rewarding than I could have ever imagined. It gave me an opportunity to interact with bright minds, while feeling like I was truly making a difference. I never thought I would learn so much from my journey with INJAZ and found myself genuinely invested in the success of the students I was mentoring. I believe I have forged relationships that will last beyond this program and I gladly recommend volunteering to anyone who is interested.”

Rana Al-Nibari, CEO of INJAZ-Kuwait said: “At INJAZ, we develop many educational programs that depend on the support and dedication of volunteers from many organizations. No words can express our gratitude towards what Alghanim Industries and other partner organizations have offered us over the years, and how thankful and appreciative we are to those volunteers who are working with us to build the future leaders of Kuwait.”

Alghanim Industries is proud of its employees’ ongoing commitment to the youth of Kuwait and looks forward to continuing its partnership with INJAZ-Kuwait in support of this important initiative.
