Armoush Tourist Investment Co. Ltd celebrates launch of new McDonald’s branch in Amman
Celebrating a unique addition to its extensive repertoire of McDonald’s restaurants in Jordan, Armoush Tourist Investment Co. Ltd – the exclusive owner of the McDonald’s franchise in Jordan – recently launched its most innovative branch yet, and the first of its kind in the Middle East and Asia.
The launch of this new branch was held on Wednesday, January 21, under the patronage of His Excellency Akel Biltaji, the Mayor of Amman. The event was attended by the Vice President and International Relationship Partner of McDonald’s Middle East & Africa, Yousief Abdulghani; a number of senior business affiliates and partners; and an array of representatives from local media.
During the launch event, the Chairman of Armoush Tourist Investment Co. Ltd, Ahmed Armoush, revealed the many distinguishing features of the new branch, the 24th McDonald’s restaurant in Jordan. McDonald’s Al-Madinah branch will offer its customers an unrivalled digital experience, which can be felt in many aspects of the restaurant. The dining tables, for example, feature electronic games sure to keep family members engaged throughout their meals.
The branch has a designated traditional play area for kids, along with a new-age electronic gaming area, where children can enjoy playing a fun array of games with their peers. The digital experience also includes a digital menu inside the restaurant, in addition to an innovative Customer Order Display (COD) for a faster, easier drive-thru experience.
This exceptional, family-friendly experience at Al-Madinah branch is rounded out with the inclusion of Jordan’s first-ever McCafé. McCafé offers customers a wide selection of rich coffee blends, including cappuccinos, espressos and lattes, as well as a delicious selection of pastries.
Commenting on the importance of this occasion, Armoush said, “Today, we celebrate a major milestone along our journey, as we unveil a new, elevated experience for McDonald’s fans and customers in Jordan. Adding even more excitement to the occasion, guests at the opening ceremony enjoyed a unique projection mapping show, turning the state-of-the-art building into a stunning, three-dimensional video projection. The landmark building was designed by Serbian architect Zoran Dmitrovic and French interior designer Philippe Avanzi, and sprawls across 1,200 square meters. The restaurant seats 380 customers on two floors, and boasts a parking lot capable of holding 100 vehicles. Employees at the new branch will also debut the new McDonald’s uniform for the first time in Jordan, which is being adopted at McDonald’s restaurants across Asia.
Prior to the grand opening, Armoush Tourist Investment Co. Ltd held a series of intimate events at Al-Madinah branch, inviting the store’s construction partners and workers, residents of the surrounding neighborhood, and McDonald’s Jordan staff and their families to enjoy a sneak peek of the new restaurant.
