Bahrain’s National Health Regulatory Authority (NHRA) has announced price reduction of more than 1,000 medicines by up to 60%, starting next Thursday, Gulf Daily News has reported. The list includes 1,053 medicines used for the treatment of diabetes, hypertension, gastrointestinal problems and arthritis among others. The move is part of a decision taken by the GCC countries to unify cost of medication, which will result in cheaper hospital treatment in Bahrain, said the NHRA.
