The US-Arab International Healthcare Summit is a one –day event that aims at the advancement of ‘medical diplomacy’ between the regions of the US and Middle East (ME). The summit took place Monday April 28th at the ‘Union League’ in New York, USA with the aim of sharing best practices in the medical field and discussing ways of transferring medical expertise as well as the expansion of imports and exports between the US and ME markets.

Given the continuing growth and importance of the healthcare sector to both regions C3 has chosen ‘healthcare’ as a title for this summit with the goal of building, fostering and strengthening relationships between the US and Arab healthcare providers/suppliers, focusing on three main principles:
• Community: create a global healthcare platform for exchanging ‘best practices’
• Collaboration: promote dialogue and grow existing relationships critical to ‘medical diplomacy’
• Commerce: facilitate new healthcare ventures and opportunities to stimulate ‘medical tourism’.

The event will host a number of important figures in the field of healthcare such as Dr. Adel Adawy, Egypt’s Minister of Health and Population as well as a selective number of ministers, doctors and more than 450 attendees from business disciplines, professors and politicians in order to promote the Arab world initiatives that focus on US and Arab healthcare improvement.

Attendees will discuss the latest issues and solutions impacting the global healthcare field as well as see new technologies and products and services that promise to improve the knowledge transfer of education and innovation between the regions of the US and Middle East
