The Cove Rotana Resort supports Earth Hour

The Cove Rotana Resort – Ras Al Khaimah marked Earth Hour for the third year time by lights out on Saturday, March 29th at 8:30 pm for one hour and joined millions of people worldwide in recognition of Earth Hour 2014.

Guests of The Cove Rotana Resort was encouraged to reduce their energy consumption during Earth Hour, and participated in the various activities offered by the hotel.

A large number of the hotel team helped out to “switch off” power in most of the hotel areas, also most of the guests joined in by switching off their room lights. A candle lighting ceremony was held in Breeze Bar, Lounge and Terrace at 8:30 pm where special discount of 50 percent was offered to the guests during the Happy ‘Earth’ Hour.

Basilico Restaurant hosted a candlelight dinner on the day of Earth Hour where lights in the restaurant was dimmed and turned off for an hour. In addition, the hotel offered its further commitment to the environment by creating green menu served throughout the day. The restaurant cooked up menu that delights the palate and is also gentle to the earth. The menu focused on using healthy and organic ingredients which are grown locally and was served throughout the candlelight dinner.
