The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) has approved 43 insurance companies to provide health cover for Dubai residents, and said the first phase of the scheme will end by October this year, Gulf News has reported. “Initially, the scheme will cover 200 companies with a large number of staff,” said Director of Health Funding at the DHA, Dr Haidar Al Yousuf. In the first phase, companies with 1,000 or more employees will have to provide health insurance cover to their employees before the end of October this year, he said.
