Dubai’s private healthcare sector has been asked by the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) to electronically upload complete health data for 2013 by July 17, Gulf News has reported. “We require the health data from all clinics and hospitals,” said director of the Health Data and Information Analysis Department at the DHA, Dr Mohammad Al Redha. “This includes records of the incidence of a particular outbreak, the number of patients admitted throughout the year, the number of beds, the number of outpatient and in-patient cases, the number of surgeries conducted, the type of surgeries conducted and other such important aspects about patient admission that can help the DHA and the Health Safety Committee of the Executive Council in framing important health policies and strategies for the forthcoming year with a view to improving community health,” he said.
