The Capital Club, Dubai’s premier private business club and member of the ENSHAA group of companies, has pledged a portion of the proceeds of its popular Iftar events to its 2014 Charity of Choice, INJAZ-UAE. A member of Junior Achievement (JA) Worldwide – a partnership between the business community, educators and volunteers working together to empower young people to own their economic success.

Emma Cullen, General Manager of the Capital Club, commented, “Social responsibility is one of The Club’s most important core values. As the central meeting place for the most influential members of Dubai’s business community, The Club has the opportunity to do a great deal of good in the community and there is no better time of year to live out our commitment to charitable work than during Ramadan. Iftar is an occasion for sharing precious time with friends and family and it is wonderful to have the chance to make each one of our Iftars even more meaningful by contributing to the important work being done by INJAZ.”

Sulaf Saleh Al-Zu’bi, CEO of INJAZ UAE, remarked, “We are gearing up for the year ahead, which will benefit 8000 Emirati youth during the 2014/2015 academic year with the help corporate volunteers. This generous gesture from the Dubai Capital Club is so critical in helping us raise awareness and reaching those targets – the timing of this donation is perfect.”

The Capital Club’s Iftar donation to INJAZ forms part of an agreement reached between The Capital Club and INJAZ-UAE in March of this year which has already resulted in The Club donating a portion of the proceeds from three of its premium social events – The Capital Club’s Anniversary Celebration, its Celebrity Chef evening with Greg Malouf, and its Guest Chef Dinner with Signature by Sanjeev Kapoor.

In addition to supporting INJAZ-UAE through donations, The Capital Club has also undertaken to promote and host six awareness seminars over the course of a year featuring prominent local, regional, and international corporate figures at the Capital Club for its Members and their guests. INJAZ-UAE has also been provided access to The Capital Club’s meeting facilities to help the organisation in hosting a number of INJAZ’s awareness sessions.
