Five test negative for MERS in Abu Dhabi

The Health Authority-Abu Dhabi (HAAD) has announced that five more of the individuals in isolation in hospital with MERS coronavirus have now tested negative and will be leaving hospital soon, Wam has reported. With this, the number of people who have now tested negative for the disease has risen to 10, said the HAAD. “These five cases were confirmed positive through routine screening of contacts, and were kept in isolation at hospitals as a precautionary measure. They were able to clear the virus within 10 to 14 days themselves without any treatment,” the regulator said.
