Fujairah Ruler inaugurate 31st Annual Meeting of ARABMED in Europe – Fujairah
H.H. Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah has initiated today the the 31stAnnual Meeting of ARABMED IN Europe – Fujairah, organized by Al Sharq Hospital, a subsidiary of Al Sharq Healthcare Group on 25th &26th of October 2015.
The opening ceremony was attended by Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi the Crown Prince of Fujairah, Sheikh Rashid Bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Chairman of Fujairah Culture and Media Authority and Sheikh Maktoum Bin Hamamd Al Sharqi Chairman of Fujairah Cultural and Sports Club Sheikh Saleh bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Head of Fujairah Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Sheikh Hamad bin Saleh Al Sharqi, Chairman of Al Sharq Healthcare group, a number of sheikhs, officers and directors of federal and local departments in Fujairah, as well as remarkable doctors and specialists in the UAE, and Arab doctors from Europe.
The conference shall witness contribution of 140 doctors in the Arab nation and abroad from various medical fields. Attendees will be granted 16 CME Hours accredited by the Ministry of Health in UAE.
During the ceremony held at Novotel Hotel – Fujairah, Dr. Abdul Hamid Sinan, General Manager of Al Sharq Hospital, has appreciated and praised H.H Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi for his generous sponsorship of the conference, and other sponsors for their unlimited support for the health sector, and their ambitions to promote the medical services in the UAE.
“The Conference is an ideal platform for doctors and specialists meeting to exchange viewpoints and academic accomplishments, and to share views about appropriate medication for several diseases. The conference comes in line with several activities and events that contribute in promoting medical services. Hosting this conference is highly important due to the need of communication between Arab doctors in different parts of the world, and to exchange experiences, develop performance standards; and to provide them with updated information in their major fields which all together leads to development of the health sector in the UAE and the whole region”, said Dr. Abdul Hamid Sinan.
He then added: “Hosing the conference in Fujairah reflects the efforts to develop the medical teams and establish appropriate environment for experts and specialists, and to attract the best doctors, making the conference a landmark for gathering of expertise and exchanging ideas for the benefit of healthcare services. One of the most important objectives of this conference is to cope with the medical advancement so that healthcare providers implement this advancement throughout the region. This conference also aims to enrich the expertise and enhance the capacity of our doctors for them to provide the ultimate medical services by adopting latest academic and medical studies in all fields”.
The conference strives to support the medical sector in the UAE in general, and Fujairah and Eastern Coast in particular through introducing recent science and modern medical devices, in addition to training ofour medical teams and to utilize them for the advancement of the medical sector in the region. The conference includes 12 academic sessions, in addition to several workshops on different medical topics; including sessions for Obesity, Surgery, gynecology and obstetrics diseases, Oncology, Heart and Circulation, Ophthalmology, Nephrology, Nutrition, and Pediatrics.

Participants will review about 60 lectures and scientific documents, besides a number of training workshops that address several important subjects, including cardiology workshop among other important topics.
The conference is considered one of the most medical conferences that strive to develop scientific research potentials and benefit from scientists expertise for the advancement of health sector in Arab countries, through adding the medical specialty potentials in European countries. Arab Medical Union in Europe includes about 2000 Arab doctors residing in Europe, and it is a non-profit independent organization established in Germany in 1983, a member of UN’s NGOs, with subsidiaries in France, Britain, Italy, Ireland and Spain.
