Healthcare spending in Dubai hit Dhs10bn in 2012

The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) has said over Dhs10bn was spent on health care in the emirate in 2012, half of which was spent in the private healthcare sector, Gulf News has reported. Women, who make up 25% of the total population of the emirate, absorbed nearly 47% of the health spending, while men absorbed 53% of the total spend, the DHA said.
