INJAZ-Kuwait announced that the annual national Company Program Competition is set to take place on 23 and 24 May, 2014 under the patronage of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, at the Salwa Sabah Al-Ahmad Hall.

The participants this year will include students from private and government high schools and universities from around Kuwait between ages 16 to 24, who will be representing a total of 21 student companies throughout the two day event.

Commenting on the upcoming national competition, Rana Al-Nibari, CEO of INJAZ-Kuwait said: “This is a very exciting time for us as we prepare for the 7th Annual National Company Program competition. The students have worked really hard to establish and run their own private companies and we’re very proud of each and every one of them. They will be competing for three awards however; to us they are all winners regardless of the outcome, for experiencing the hard work and confidence it entails to establish and run a business and what the real work life holds for them is an award on its own.”

“I would like to thank the sponsors of this event; Gulf Bank, Alghanim Industries and Ali Abdulwahab Al-Mutawa Co. for their support and for their belief in the importance of INJAZ- Kuwait’s programs and the benefits they bring to our young students.” Ms. Al-Nibari added.

The students will be judged by a panel of high-profile local business leaders from the private sector. Their final decision will be based on the students’ performance when presenting their company and the product or service, and their performance during a set of interviews conducted by the panel throughout the two day event.

Commenting on this event, Mrs. Salma Al-Hajjaj, GM of HR at Gulf Bank said, “Our sponsorship of this annual event stems from our belief in the potential of our youth and their capabilities in developing their entrepreneurial skills, which in the long run will contribute to the prosperity and success of Kuwait as a nation. Students today are entitled not only to a proper education, but also to be fully prepared from a practical perspective, to better understand what daily work life and succeeding in it truly entails. Supporting INJAZ-Kuwait is a privilege as it allows us to contribute to the success of our younger generation and our nation as a whole.”

At the final ceremony three awards will be presented, including the highly anticipated ‘Best Student Company of the Year 2014 Award’ sponsored by Gulf Bank. The other awards are the ‘Most Innovative Product’ sponsored by Alghanim Industries and ‘Student Company with the Best Social Impact’ award sponsored by Ali Abdulwahab Al-Mutawa Co.

The Company Program is one of INJAZ Kuwait’s flagship programs, which was launched in 2006 with 305 students and has since grown to reach 2,957 students.
