Jacky’s Electronics registers 30% sales growth at Gitex Shopper Spring 2015 in Dubai

Jacky’s Electronics, the UAE’s leading multi-brand consumer electronics, concluded Gitex Shopper Spring with a high note achieving 30% sales growth as compared from last year’s Shopper Spring edition.

The retail company saw smartphones, notebooks, tablets, DSLRs and Smart TVs as the top-sellers, as a result of premium bundle product offers during the four-day event. In the smartphones segment, Samsung Note EDGE, Lenovo Vibe X2 and HTC One M9 led the sales. Meanwhile, Lenovo Flex & Yoga topped the sales followed by Dell 2 in 1, and HP notebooks in the laptop category.

“We are extremely satisfied with the response from our customers as we had registered record-breaking growth of 30% from last year’s GITEX Shopper Spring edition. This exhibition has always been a substantial part of our sales and our store outlets also performed exceptionally well across the four days. Jacky’s participation in the Shopper Smart Living Section saw a very good response from the consumers,” said Mahesh Chotrani, Assistant Vice President, Jacky’s Electronics.

“Our GITEX Shopper exclusive offer of ‘Choose Your Dream Vacation’ also proved to be a success from the visitors and our loyal customers, with four lucky shoppers winning their dream vacations worth AED25,000. We are eagerly looking forward to our participation at the autumn edition of GITEX Shopper later this year,” added Chotrani.

Meanwhile, the retail giant also witnessed an increased demand and sales in DSLR cameras and tablets. Premium brands like Nikon and Canon continued to be the bestsellers in DSLRs category, whereas, Apple iPads and Samsung tablets showed excellent performance in the tablet segment.

The company achieved its objective by providing customers the convenience and experience of easy shopping with its open design stands and exciting bundles. Jacky’s mega e-raffle draw of a dream vacation worth AED 25,000 also contributed to its success wherein four lucky customers won a once-in-a lifetime opportunity, giving the experience of traveling to their most desired dream destinations.

Furthermore, the company received fantastic response to its first ever three-lane bowling sponsored by Dell and Funky Lanes and other contests and activities including the ‘Minute to Sell It’ and ‘Selfie Booth’ at the Lenovo stand.

Additionally, Jacky’s Electronics also received excellent response at the Shopper Smart Living section registering great sales in the small domestic appliances as well personal grooming products. Among the leading brands showcased in this new section were Electrolux, Hoover, Kenwood, Russel Hobbs, Venus and Crownline for appliances; and Braun, Philips, Moser and Remington for the personal grooming products.
