KSA to send 87 patients abroad for treatment

Saudi Arabia’s Supreme Medical Commission (SMC), an affiliate of the health ministry, has approved the treatment of 235 patients at government expense inside and outside the kingdom, Arab News has reported. Of the total, 87 cases will be treated in the US, Germany, China, France, Spain, Britain, the Philippines, India, Pakistan, Egypt and Jordan. Germany gets the biggest share of the patients at 19 cases, followed by the US and China (18 each), Britain and Jordan (11 each), Egypt (3), France, India, and Pakistan (2 each), and Spain and the Philippines (one each), said the ministry.
