Noor Bank has extended support to the Sharjah Golf and Shooting Club (SGSC) for the Noor Bank Sharjah Cup Open, a championship that offers amateur golfers an opportunity to perfect their swings at an international level golf tournament at one of the premier golf courses in the UAE.

Set to run from 4 – 5 April, the fourth edition of the tournament expects a field of more than 80 players for its 2014 edition.

The first day of the tournament will see players tee-off at the shotguns with options of the 7:30am and 1:00pm time slots. The event has been structured to ensure zero room for error to participants. The best 52 players will progress to a round on Saturday, 5 April, while the rest are eliminated from the tournament.

Apart from crowning the overall winner, the event will award the runner up and third place finishers. The prizes will also include recognition for the ladies champion and for the leading scorer on both days.

The tournament is open to juniors with members being charged a participation fee of AED220, and non-members AED320.

For SGSC members wishing to attend the event an entry fee of Dhs385 per head will be charged, while Emirates Golf Federation members (EGF) will be required to pay Dhs565. An entry fee of Dhs625 is applicable to general visitors. Meanwhile, a tournament pass that includes entry fee and unlimited golf course and academy access (inclusive of cart hire) between Sunday and Thursday costs Dhs875.
