Qatar asks insurers to stop private health plans for citizens

Qatar’s Supreme Council of Health (SCH) has said it has asked private insurance companies to stop providing health insurance to citizens by April 30, 2015, the Peninsula has reported. The decision aims to prevent any duplication following the inclusion of all Qatari nationals in the mandatory health insurance scheme of the state on April 30 this year.
