Qatar’s Supreme Council of Health (SCH), in cooperation with the ministries of interior, labour and social affairs, foreign affairs and the GCC Health Ministers Council, is set to launch an online system to receive results of the mandatory pre-arrival medical check-up for newly recruited foreign workers from Asian and African countries, the Peninsula has reported. All job-seekers from these countries are required to undergo check-up before leaving for the Gulf country. “Once the electronic network is in place, we will be able to receive test results online and visas for the new recruits will be issued based on that. We won’t have to wait for hard copies of the results,” said director of the medical commission, Dr Ibrahim Al Shaar.
