Qatar to spend QR4bn on new healthcare facilities

Ibteihaj al-Ahmadani, head of the Health Committee at Qatar Chamber has said the Gulf country plans to invest more than QR4bn over the next five years to build and equip hospitals and medical cities, Gulf Times has reported. Over the last decade, Qatar had spent QR51.3bn on the health sector, said al-Ahmadani. “The health sector in the country witnessed the largest increase in provisions during the current year, compared with the previous one as it registered a 63% increase.”
