QFBA holds graduation ceremony for its ‘Kawader’ program

Under the patronage of His Excellency Mr. Ali Shareef Al Emadi, Minister of Finance of the State of Qatar, Qatar Finance and Business Academy (QFBA) held the graduation ceremony for its ‘Kawader’ program.

On the occasion, His Excellency congratulated the students on their exemplary performance and encouraged the QFBA to continue developing innovative programs targeted at Qataris such as ‘Kawader’ that also helps grow Qatar’s human capital to match the development seen in the country’s rapidly progressing financial sector.

The ‘Kawader’ program is an innovative learning initiative by the QFCA and QFBA who believe in investing in the future of the potential business leaders and decision-makers in Qatar’s emerging financial services sector. The program endeavors to equip participants with internationally recognized professional certifications along with enhanced personal development skills which will drive their growth in the industry.

The Minister of Finance, Mr. Ali Shareef Al Emadi, said during the ceremony, “On the completion the Kawader program we congratulate our young Qataris, who we believe are the most valuable wealth our country possesses. We are eager to see the youth of our country fulfill their potential and are happy to support their growth via learning initiatives like Kawader. We also urge the financial sector to take part in this flagship quality Qatarization initiative and contribute to the growth of Qatar’s financial industry.”

QFBA’s Chief Executive officer, Dr. Abdulaziz Al Horr added, “We are proud of our Kawader graduates and we hope to welcome more candidates in the second batch of Kawader program. The skills and character gained by a candidate’s learning at the QFBA can serve him or her in any field of business and will in turn help them contribute to Qatar’s long-term sustainability. We aim at inspiring Qataris to lead from the front, become the visionary business leaders of tomorrow, and excel at everything they do.”

The main aim of Kawader is to resource the future of the financial services sector with inspired young professional Qataris having the right set of skills and qualifications, in key roles suited to their personality and aptitude.

The Kawader program is supported by elite academic partners such as Carnegie Mellon University, Qatar University, Georgetown University and Stenden University, who have played a key role in attracting their students towards this initiative. Additionally, the program is supported by key firms from the financial services sector such as Qatar Investment Authority (QIA), Qatar Exchange, QInvest, PWC, KPMG, Qatar Central Bank, QFMA, SEIB, QNB-Capital, and Qatar First Bank, who facilitated the context setting by means of input in program design, internship and attachment phases of the program.
