All roads lead to MIA for ROTA’s Wheels ‘n’ Heels

Families from across Qatar will be taking the opportunity to enjoy a fantastic free entertainment at the 7th Wheels ‘n’ Heels event, organized by Reach Out To Asia (ROTA) and supported by Flagship Sponsor Maersk Oil and Strategic Partner Qatar Cycling Federation.

The action will be kicking off at 2pm at the Museum of Islamic Art Park, Doha Corniche, as celebrities and VIPs will be joining thousands of families to enjoy eight hours of amusement. Among the entertainment on the Wheels ‘n’ Heels, will be the special performance by Jordanian music sensation actress Diana Karazon and UAE superstar Shama Hamdan, while young children will enjoy meeting popular Baraem Children’s Channel presenters Ahmed Al Mulla and Jihan Arsanious, masters of the ceremony of the event.

In addition, sports fans will be having their photo taken and getting autographs from sports icons, Mahmoud and Abdullah Bo Shri (Kuwait), rally racer Nada Zeidan (Qatar), and teenage swimming sensation Nada Mohamed Arakji (Qatar).

Wheels’n’Heels 2014 is proud to host special activities including the traditional Wheels ‘n’ Heels Circuit; Family members of all ages will pull on their trainers to jog, walk, cycle or wheelchair the 3-kilometre Circuit to raise money for ROTA projects across Asia.

Mohammed Abdulla Saleh, ROTA Community Development Manager, said, “We are excited about the 7th Wheels ‘n’ Heels Family Fun Day, and we encourage all families in Qatar to ‘Reach Out By Having Fun’ at the Museum of Islamic Art Park, Doha Corniche. Unarguably, Qatar’s largest annual community event of the year emphasizes ROTA’s values of empowering the society; including youth, women and special needs communities, by using the inspiration of active lifestyle”.

Kids Zone promises hours of fun for younger members of the family with non-stop live entertainment, interactive arts space, bouncy castles, skills based competitions face painting and a whole load of fun games, while the visitors to the ‘Stay Active and Healthy’ Zone can obtain advice about how to get fit, stay healthy and learn more about first aid. Those with energy to spare will have the chance to join Aspire and Qatar Cycling Federation who will bring hours of fitness activities and wicked sports fun for the whole family.
