Roger’s Diner, the first and only aviation themed restaurant in Doha, invited Doha’s most influential and up and coming food bloggers to sample their new Chef Menu and Tapas Set Menu during the month of March.

Executive Chef, Yannick Tirbois, on his decision to incorporate a suggestion-style Chef Menu, said, “It’s time for the Doha community to decide what delicious dishes will be on the new Roger’s Diner menu.” “The Chef Menu will be changing quarterly, with different dishes to taste to ultimately come up with the new menu; chosen by you. We will determine, based on popularity and feedback, which items will become resident dishes on our new menu. The menu offers a twist on the usual favorites, like Margarita Shrimp Nachos and Chipotle Chicken Taco Salad,” concluded Chef Yannick.

“I personally liked their Tapas selection. It was something I probably wouldn’t have ordered (I’m not that daring), but it was a great surprise!” Commented Khalifa Saleh Al Haroon, food enthusiast and Founder of I Love Qatar.

In addition to the Chef Menu, a new Tapas Set Menu will be a permanent feature in the Roger’s Diner repertoire. The Tapas menu is inspired by a cross continental palette with elements of Mexican, Spanish and American flavors and combinations. A perfect sharing menu, the Tapas menu is ideal for a quick business meeting or an overdue catch up with friends. There are three set menus, two of which have three tapas dishes and the other has six, with prices ranging from QR25 to QR45.

Each tapas dish is balanced out to include hints of saltiness, sweetness and spice in a bite size serving. One can expect to taste a unique combination of flavours such as toasted bread with brie, apple and honey in the Apple and Brie Mollet and fried potato with a spicy chilli tomato sauce in the Papas Bravas.

“The margarita nachos with shrimp were excellent and the three different tapas plates were delicious with very exotic varieties. I couldn’t resist the fried rice ball with cheddar cheese and cilantro stuffing served on a bed of BBQ sauce! The service was top-notch and I also loved the atmosphere with the eye-catching aviation décor,” commented food blogger Omer Ahmad Al-Jumaily from @qafood on Instagram.

All the dishes’ sauces and mixtures, on both menus, are made from scratch with attention to detail that make it a truly unique culinary experience you will want to repeat over and over. Roger’s Diner is an upscale American restaurant with a combined ambiance of retro and memorabilia 1927 art.
