Saudi Arabia brings illiteracy down by 6.81%

Saudi education minister, Prince Khaled Al-Faisal has said the kindom has surpassed the Dakar Education Conference’s objective of erasing illiteracy among the elderly by 50% by 2015, Arab News has reported. The kingdom has notified UNESCO that it has been able to erase 60.61% of illiteracy by the end of 2013, reducing illiteracy rates by 6.81%, the minister said.
