Saudi Arabia’s Consumer Protection Association (CPA) has warned food retailers and restaurants against increasing prices and imposing illegal services charges, Arab News has reported. “Hiking the prices of essential commodities to boost undue profitability violates government agency laws,” said assistant director of the CPA, Prince Mishal bin Miteb. “The CPA will ensure that prices are not increased arbitrarily on any occasion,” the prince told the daily.
