Sharjah to spend Dhs152m on model schools renovation

The Sharjah Directorate of Public Works (DPW) has said construction of 34 state-of-the-art model schools in the emirate has started at a total cost of Dhs152.5m, Khaleej Times has reported. The first phase of the project will involve construction of several educational facilities in 34 first-cycle schools in Sharjah and other towns, including but not limited to multipurpose sports halls, theatres, IT and Science Labs, school clinks, activity halls, outdoor playgrounds and courtyard sheds, said Chairman of DPW, Sheikh Khaled bin Saqr Al Qasimi.
