Paris – Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi is taking part in the International Education Show held at the Expo Center in the emirate of Sharjah to showcase its wide range of quality academic programs and well-rounded educational experiences and provide students from the UAE and abroad with the chance to learn more about the university. High-school students who will soon be joining tertiary institutions, not to mention university students and graduates seeking to further their education, will find a wealth of information about Sorbonne Abu Dhabi at the university’s booth.

The fair – which runs until Friday, 31 January 2014 – is aimed at national and international secondary and graduate students in the UAE and offers educational institutions a platform for promoting their programs.

Prof. Dr. Eric Fouache, Sorbonne Abu Dhabi Vice-Chancellor, noted that, since the show opened, the visitor turnout at the Sorbonne Abu Dhabi booth has been considerable. The fair, he said, is also an opportunity for Sorbonne Abu Dhabi to share knowledge and experiences with other universities and educational institutions and engage with high-level academic and cultural figures. Sorbonne Abu Dhabi faculty members and administrators met with visitors and students, providing them with information and answering their inquiries about the university’s academic and extracurricular programs, its admissions procedures, and its various achievements.

Prof. Fouache observed that there are two main objectives behind Sorbonne Abu Dhabi’s participation in the show. The first is to disseminate the university’s message on a broad scale given that Sorbonne Abu Dhabi ‘s mission is to promote knowledge in the UAE and beyond. The second is to engage in exchanges and cooperation with universities and other public and private institutions and authorities; indeed, Sorbonne Abu Dhabi delivers training and development programs for national staff in a variety of management and business fields.
Angela Franklin – Head of Student Recruitment Section said, “Our faculties offer 19 different undergraduate and graduate degrees in addition to an assortment of specialized training courses and programs. We are highlighting, in the show, Sorbonne Abu Dhabi ‘s achievements, experience, and future outlook which stem from its vision as a ‘beacon of education and bridge between civilizations.'”

Hamid Saleh, a Sorbonne Abu Dhabi student, said “I decided to enroll in the Management, Communication, and Media master’s program which ties in perfectly with the undergraduate degree that I will be completing this year. Joining a world-class university like Sorbonne has been a dream of mine and I was pleasantly surprised to find that the Sorbonne Abu Dhabi tuition is more accessible than the university at which I am currently studying.”

A visitor at the show, said that he is wholeheartedly encouraging his daughter to enroll at Sorbonne Abu Dhabi given its quality offerings and worldwide repute. “I wanted to send my daughter to university back home but, after learning about the specializations at Sorbonne Abu Dhabi and its very accessible fees which the majority of students can afford, I want my daughter to study at Sorbonne Abu Dhabi , especially that it is her dream to go into media studies and the university offers a BA in communication and media. This is a great opportunity for her to receive a degree from a prestigious global university.”
