Tasjeel to open new state of art Vehicle Testing Centre in Motor City
In response to demand from the communities in Dubai Motor City and adjacent areas, Tasjeel, the UAE’s one-stop-shop for all vehicle testing and registration needs, has signed an agreement with Union Properties (UP) to build, own and operate a new vehicle testing and registration centre in Motor City, managed by Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC).
Burhan Al Hashemi, Managing Director, ENOC Retail and Ahmed Khalaf Al Marri, General Manager, Union Properties PJSC signed the Head Lease agreement to set up the centre by the end of 2016.
The new Tasjeel site has the capacity to serve over 400 vehicles a day and covers 6,318 square metres. The centre includes a wide range of facilities that allow customers to complete the vehicle testing and registration process swiftly. The centre will also host a retail outlet for sale and installation of vehicle accessories, a car wash, a lubes facility, a convenience store, an insurance booth, a document typing booth and a vehicle repair shop.
Al Hashemi said: “The launch of the Motor City Tasjeel centre reinforces our commitment to providing value-added services for our customers. We have continually placed a strong emphasis on supporting the needs of the community, making vehicle testing and registration services as easy as possible.”
The Dubai Motor City site will be the 11th branch of the Tasjeel vehicle testing and registration stations across Dubai and the Northern Emirates. Other current locations include Al Qusais, Al Barsha, Al Aweer, Warsan, Sharjah Auto Village and Jebel Ali.
“This new Tasjeel project is in line with our overall strategy and business growth plans. This expansion will complement our plans to further strengthen our customer service, with new and convenient offerings and services to motorists,” added Al Hashemi.
Al Marri said: “We are pleased to sign the MOU with ENOC Tasjeel which will strengthen the level of collaboration between us, especially in providing vehicle testing and establishing new government offices in Motor City. We are a major developer for the Motor City project, and by signing the MoU, we are supporting our strategies to provide governmental services to the residents of the project. We will also be signing similar agreements in the future to enhance and introduce new innovative services for the residents of the complex.”
A business unit of ENOC Retail, Tasjeel undertakes all mandatory tests that are required for vehicle registration. Currently, Tasjeel owns and operates 10 sites and two mobile units in Dubai and Sharjah, which use state-of-the-art equipment. The technicians are trained on the latest technologies to offer a seamless service.
