UAE most popular job market for millennials, again
- UAE has been ranked most popular emerging job market for millennials
- Country ranks ahead of BRICS and Scandinavian nations
- Country represents attitude of “nothing is impossible”
The UAE has been ranked as the most preferred emerging job market for young people who would like to live abroad to advance their careers for the second year in a row, a new survey has revealed.
Respondents from 187 countries and territories in World Economic Forum’s Global Shapers Annual Survey 2016, ranked the UAE at the 11th place ahead of the Scandinavian and BRICS countries as well as Singapore. Nearly 20,000 millennials aged between 18 and 35, mostly hailing from China, the United States and India, were asked to rank countries on the basis of a wide range of issues concerning business, the economy, politics, technology and values.

“The UAE’s appeal lies in the enviable fact that the country is increasingly synonymous with an attitude that nothing is impossible,” said Adeyemi Babington-Ashaye, Head of the Global Shapers Community of the World Economic Forum.
“The UAE combines excellent opportunities for young people and start-ups with a competitive economy and sends a clear signal that, if you want to build the future, come and build it in the UAE.”
The results of the survey were released at the Annual Meeting of the Global Future Councils 2016, held in Dubai on November 13 and 14.
