World Trade Center Abu Dhabi, developed by Aldar Properties PJSC, welcomed students from Al Muna Primary School, an institution owned by Aldar Academies. The students toured the World Trade Center’s landmark buildings in collaboration with the Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation; a humanitarian establishment founded by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan in 2007.

The guided tour was an initiative aimed at Grade One and Grade Four students, inviting them to explore the prominent buildings within the WTC, including the Hoyamal Exhibition at the World Trade Center Souk, where students were given a talk about Emirati culture and the country’s heritage. The students also visited Abu Dhabi’s tallest commercial tower in the city leased by Arabtec, the World Trade Center offices as well as the iconic World Trade Center Mall, and the House of Fraser Department Store where they received gifts from Hello Kitty Spa.

This was the first educational collaboration between the three parties, in an attempt to highlight the importance of the educational system within the region. Aldar has contributed greatly to the educational development in the UAE through Aldar Academies, which was launched in 2007, and has since become an education provider for a highly sought after institution serving 4,600 students in six schools in Abu Dhabi and one in Al Ain.

Talal Al Dhiyebi, Executive Director of Asset Management at Aldar, commented, “The World Trade Center district marks the contemporary revival of a historic area within the heart of the city. Our collaboration with the Khalifa Bin Zayed Foundation also signifies Aldar’s ongoing contribution and the role it plays in society by supporting the local community through educating students on the nation’s cultural heritage.”

Nilay Ozral, Chief Executive Officer of Aldar Academies, said, “At Aldar Academies we have a strong focus on learning about the UAE’s national heritage and promoting our national identity, culture and character. The participation of students from Aldar Academies schools in the Hoyamal Exhibition at the WTC Souk clearly reflects our goals in this regard as we continue to provide a comprehensive well-rounded education system to families in the UAE.”
