yApparel, a specialised yoga and fitness apparel boutique, opened its doors to the public as Dubai’s first clothing store dedicated to providing high-quality yoga, pilates and fitness apparel for both men and women.

Complete with acro-yoga and pole fitness demonstrations, fresh juices, homemade treats, and giveaways, the opening party saw almost 100 yogis and fitness fans join gather in the boutique for the celebration.

“With limited options to choose from in the UAE, yApparel was created to meet a growing need for best-in-class yoga and fitness apparel in a range of prices and styles specifically for the booming local yoga and pilates communities,” says founder and manager Dina Ghandour. “We’re bringing something to Dubai and the wider region that so many people are hungry for, and the response so far has been outstanding.”

Based in the heart of Dubai at the Jumeirah Centre, the boutique is home to a range of top-tier brands from around the world, including Australia, Canada, the United States and the United Kingdom. Products include everything from tanks, tops and crops, to mats, straps, bags and slings. A colorful selection of stylish loungewear is also available to complement an on-the-go and active lifestyle.

Commenting on the boutique’s unique brand and product selection, Ghandour said: “We’ve chosen products that reflect the traditions, power and beauty of yoga, while providing impeccable comfort and functionality to enhance your practice both on and off the mat. Plus, our eco-friendly, sustainable products also ensure that we keep our environmental impact to a minimum.”

Sustainability and the environment are at the heart of everything yApparel do, from its business operations to the products they source. Most of the brands make their products in their country of operation and use only the best in natural fabrics, fibres and dyes while also giving back to local communities.

For example, YOGASMOGA refrain from using any harmful formaldehyde based dyes that can destroy our groundwater and source trims such as elastics and threads as close to production facilities as possible, thus reducing fossil fuel usage. Furthermore, Wellicious uses organic cotton grown without harmful pesticides used widely in regular cotton production, while Divine Goddess’ clothing is made by families in Bali who the company has worked with for over 10 years, providing a source of income for the local population.

yApparel is based on the second floor of Jumeirah Centre on Jumeirah Beach Road – steps away from the buzzing Lime Tree Café and Village Mall. The boutique is open seven days a week from 10am to 10pm. More information can be found at www.yApparel.com.
