Swiss luxury watchmaker Eberhard & Co. marked its entry to the Qatar market earlier this week, showcasing its latest timepieces at the Villagio Mall, Doha.

Noticeably, Eberhard & Co.’s Special Edition Gilda Grand Pavé Gold, one of the brand’s latest and most precious timepieces, served as the star of the featured collection. The jewel comprises over eight carats of diamonds spread out on its case and bracelet.

The market entry came after the Swiss brand signed an agreement with Al Fardan Jewellery, the brand’s retailer in Qatar. Al Fardan Jewellery operates across the GCC as part of the Al Fardan Group, which operates different business in a variety of industries including automotive, property, hospitality and marine services, among others.

“We are extremely pleased to make our debut in such an important market as Qatar,” said Mario Peserico, General Manager of Eberhard & Co., after which he expressed his delight to partner with Al Fardan Group, whom he called “pioneers in the luxury business in the region”.

The brand has recently celebrated its deep-rooted link to the world of classic cars, particularly Tazio Nuvolari, the late Italian motorcycle racer and racing driver. The tribute came with the launch of the Tazio Nuvolari Desk-Clock.

Inspired by the Tazio Nuvolari collection, the new addition boats a diameter of 10.8 cm, embraced by a polished bezel with a leather base.

In the GCC, Eberhard & Co. operates through a number of retailers in the UAE, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Syria and Lebanon.
