Samsung fans rejoice: Galaxy Note8 hits UAE
Samsung Gulf Electronics recently introduced the much anticipated Galaxy Note8 to the UAE. According to GfK, the fourth-largest market research organisation in the world, Samsung’s market share for smartphones for the first half of the year (January to June 2017) in the UAE is 41.57 per cent.
The next-level Galaxy Note8 empowers consumers with a bigger Infinity Display that fits comfortably in one hand, an S Pen to communicate in more personal ways and Samsung’s latest smartphone camera.
Think big, do big
“The Galaxy Note8 is designed for the way consumers lead their lives and lean on technology today. Hence, we came up with an innovation for those doers who want to think big and do big,” said Tarek Sabbagh, Head of IT & Mobile (IM) Division at Samsung Gulf Electronics.
The mobile will be available across all major retailers in the UAE starting September 22, 2017, at AED3,399 in three distinct colors: Midnight Black, Orchid Gray and Maple Gold.
The new Galaxy Note8 also enables users through “Samsung Members” – a preloaded app offering experiences linked to Gulf consumers’ passion points, through a new partnership with Marriott International Middle East & Africa and Cleartrip.
Consumers who purchase the Galaxy Note8 in the UAE, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait and Bahrain will enjoy exclusive “Samsung Members” offers from Marriott hotel, restaurants and spas and Cleartrip.
The Galaxy Note8 has the biggest screen ever on a Note device and gives more room to watch, read and draw, while the new App Pair allows users to launch two apps simultaneously with ease.
The enhanced S Pen unlocks entirely new ways to write, draw and interact with the phone, and communicate with friends on the Galaxy Note8, thanks to its finer tip and improved pressure sensitivity.
For overseas travels or when users come across a website in a foreign language, the improved S Pen Translate feature lets users hover over text to quickly translate and instantly convert units and foreign currencies.
The Galaxy Note8 is the first smartphone with two 12MP rear cameras, with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) on both the wide-angle and telephoto lenses. The deviceis also equipped with an industry-leading 8MP Smart Auto Focus front-facing camera for sharp selfies and video chats.
Samsung DeX enables a desktop experience, powered by the phone. Users can keep files on their device, conduct work on the go and use Samsung DeX when they need an even bigger screen. The Galaxy Note8 includes Bixby, which learns from users and improves over time.
