Etisalat brings ‘Manjhi-The Mountain Man’ exclusively to eLife customers

Etisalat UAE, in partnership with Viacom18 Motion Pictures, announced the global release of the new and critically acclaimed Bollywood movie ‘Manjhi-The Mountain Man’, available for a month on eLife On Demand for all eLife subscribers.

The telco is the first service provider in the region to bring the worldwide release of a new Bollywood movie directly to the customer’s home before the movie hits the cinemas.

Etisalat hosted a private screening of the movie, attended by media, members from business community and customers who won tickets from a recently concluded social media competition. Humaid Rashid Sahoo, CEO from eVision, Rashed Al Abbar, VP Home Product Marketing at Etisalat, Director Ketan Mehta and versatile lead actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui attended the event. More than 200 winners enjoyed an exclusive meet-and-greet session with the stars, followed by the movie screening.

Manjhi-The Mountain man is a 2015 Indian biographical film based on the life of Dashrath Manjhi widely known as Mountain Man, a poor labourer in Gehlaur Village, Bihar in India. He carved a path for love through a mountain using only a hammer and chisel for 22 years. The movie has already been trending on YouTube with over 5 million views in just 4 weeks.

Through eLife On Demand, over half a million households can enjoy the worldwide release of the movie. For a month, the movie is available for all eLife service customers subscribed to any eLife pack.
