Ooredoo hopes to double postpaid subscriptions by 2016

Qatar’s Ooredoo has said it aims to double the number of its post-paid customers in two years, the Peninsula has reported. “In the past few years, we have seen impressive growth in the number of our post-paid plan and we hope to double our postpaid customers in two years,” said assistant director of mobile services, Ooredoo, Shady El Mohandes. “We will take more initiatives in coming days to increase the number of post-paid customers,” he said. Currently, around 12% of its total 2.5 million customers are under post-paid plans while 88% are using different prepaid plans.
