The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) will participate in the second edition of the Crime Prevention Conference that will be held under the patronage of Lieutenant General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior. Organized by Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters, this year’s conference runs under the theme ‘Family: Prevention and Protection’, and will take place on February 17 – 19 at the Fairmont Bab Al Bahr Hotel in Abu Dhabi.

“The theme of this conference symbolizes the importance the Ministry of Interior gives to families and their fundamental role in building a healthy society against all types of violence and crime. We, at TRA, share the same vision and recognize the importance of protecting families from cybercrimes that often constitute a real threat to the security and safety of the society as a whole.” commented H.E. Mohamed Nasser Al Ghanim, TRA Director General.

“Our participation in this conference comes as part of our CSR efforts which act as a key pillar within our TRA corporate objectives. We recognize the importance of these initiatives and their great impact towards the society, as well as their importance internally in achieving our objectives mainly in raising social awareness through direct communication with our clients,” he added.

The conference will see participation from a number of key industry experts and speakers in the field of crime prevention and will discuss the most important issues facing families in this modern world. The conference agenda includes work papers and panel discussions on global models and examples applying best practices in children care, mother support, and the development of related mechanisms to ensure a better quality of life and to achieve more stability in the society.

The main purpose of this initiative is to highlight the importance of early motherhood and its huge impact in forming the child’s personality and behavior in the future. In addition, the conference aims to spread awareness on the mother’s role and duties in providing care and protection for her child, and the responsibility of the institutions in this area. Moreover, the conference serves as a perfect platform for sharing best global practices in crime prevention and providing the opportunity to introduce the partners on the importance of investment in early childhood care to reduce and prevent crime rates.
