VIVA Bahrain recognized for its successful Graduate Development Program

VIVA Bahrain has been recognized with the ‘National Society for Support of Education and Training’ (NSSET) Award, for its Graduate Development Program (GDP) aimed at nurturing young Bahraini talent. The first edition of the Program has been successfully completed offering the first generation of talented graduates a career opportunity in VIVA based on their exceptional performance.

Introduced in 2012 at the Bahrain Career Expo, the first edition of VIVA’s GDP was executed over a 12-month span. It involved professional and technical training young graduates through intensive on the job training in various sectors of the company including Human Resources, Technology, Finance, Corporate Social Responsibility and Commercial.

Commenting on the Award and the Graduate Development Program, VIVA CEO, Eng. Ulaiyan Al Wetaid said, “The aim of this Program is to build a strong local workforce and develop young professional leaders through intensive and best in class professional and technical training. Today, we are proud to announce that the first generation of professionals has been offered a rewarding career in VIVA and the success and sustainability of the Graduate Development Program has been recognized by winning another Award.”

Adding further he said, “We will continue to invest in local talent and accelerate professional development of young graduates to assist in developing the Bahraini workforce of the future.”

VIVA’s Graduate Development Program has also been previously recognized as the “Best Graduate Trainee Program across Middle East” at the annual Training & Development Awards for 2013.
